Rural Development Programme for England: Merseyside sub-regional plan

Partners in Merseyside have been working with the North West Development Agency (NWDA) to bring forward proposals for the delivery of the Rural Development Programme (RDPE) in Merseyside for the 2007-13 period.

A draft plan for the use of Axis 1 and Axis 3 funds has now been prepared and submitted to the NWDA. Simultaneously, that plan is available for consultation for all organisations and individuals in Merseyside who have an interest in the successful implementation of this programme.

There are many documents available below. I would recommend that you first download the draft plan (titled ICEP delivery approach v2). There you will find reference to each of the measures, and you can download all of the measures, or only those in which you are particularly interested.

There are some key questions on which comments are sought:

  1. Do the objectives and thematic priorities of the plan fit the needs of rural Merseyside?
  2. Do you agree with the % allocation of funds given to each measure within the two axes?
  3. For each of the measures, do you agree with the proposed activities? How could they be made more effective or better suited to the needs of rural Merseyside?

When responding to the consultation, please make reference to specific sections or paragraph numbers.

The consultation is open until 24 September 2007 10am full details of how to respond are in the cover letter.
