Local Food First

Local Food First is an Objective One funded project set up in June 2003 to develop the local supply chain and sustainable farming systems across Merseyside. The project has been developed by a partnership of North West Fine Foods, Millhouse Training Services, Myerscough College and ICEP (Integrated Countryside and Environment Plan).

Fine Food Trail

The Local Food First project aims to raise consumer awareness about the food we eat, where it comes from and how it is produced with the specific aim of encouraging people to seek out produce grown or reared within a few miles of their homes. Few people realise that Merseyside has nearly 50,000 acres of prime farmland growing food for the people of Merseyside. Plase visit our Places To Visit section for more details
